Halloween Celebrations and Chocoholics

Halloween is a great time for children to get dressed up and go trick or treating. In only a short time with their adventures around the streets they will soon collect a mountain of chocolates, lollies and sweets that are both tasty and fun to eat.

However the celebrations do not stop with the young ones, even us big kids may take advantage of this festive time to party, dress up and enjoy the candy and chocolates.

Did you know Dairy Food helps Weight Loss?

A recent study from a University in Perth, Australia has shown that a higher intake of diary combined with a low calorie diet can help weight loss.

The study compared two groups of people with one group having 5 serves of diary per day and the other only 3 serves. The diary products included a glass of milk, a tub of yogurt and a portion of cheese and the size of the study was on 80 people.

Not only did the 12 week study show a decrease in abdominal fat loss in the higher diary intake group but they also benefited from a reduced blood pressure.

Overall this study highlights a very simple way of reducing your tummy fat which can sometimes be a difficult spot to target when trying to burn fat!
